Roads to Nuevo Vallarta

Guadalajara

Take Mexico Highway 70D, or Autopista Guadalajara-Tepic, from downtown Guadalajara to the west.
Stay on Mexico 70D towards Tepic. Be sure to follow the signs to Tepic/Puerto Vallarta.
Just before arriving in Tepic, you will find an exit on the right towards Highway 200. Take this exit, which will take you towards Compostela.
Once on Highway 200, follow the signs to Puerto Vallarta.
Follow Highway 200 until you reach the exit to Nuevo Vallarta, which is clearly specified in the traffic signs.
The road trip between Guadalajara and Nuevo Vallarta takes approximately 3 hours.

Nayarit

Depending on where you are in Nayarit, head towards Federal Highway 200. This highway connects several towns in the state of Nayarit with Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta.
Take Federal Highway 200 south towards Puerto Vallarta. Follow the traffic signs.
Continue on Highway 200. Before reaching Puerto Vallarta, you will find the exits to Nuevo Vallarta. The main entrance to Nuevo Vallarta is well-signposted.
